Musical theatre legend Kerry Ellis is to release an autobiography this summer, with a foreword by Queen’s Brian May. Other executive producers helping get Bupkis off the ground include Pete Davidson, showrunner Judah Miller, Andrew Singer, and Erin David. Michaels’ Broadway Video is the production company behind the series. A fascinating insight into the journey behind the unique career of singer, actress and the West End’s favourite star. And the women of New Bedford, they bloom like their own red roses. But roses only bloom in summer; whereas the fine carnation of their cheeks is perennial as sunlight in the seventh heavens. Elsewhere match that bloom of theirs, ye cannot, save in Salem, where they tell me the young girls breathe such musk, their sailor sweethearts smell them miles off shore, as though they were drawing nigh the odorous Moluccas instead of the Puritanic sands. If I had been astonished at first catching a glimpse of so outlandish an individual as Queequeg circulating among the polite society of a civilized town, that astonishment soon departed upon taking my first daylight stroll through the streets of New Bedford.

Kerry Ellis is set to release her autobiography this summer (3 August) and I could not be more excited to read it! The extent of sloppiness in the approach to the language in this book made it unreadable. Towards the end of her story, Kerry mentions that "the viewing public aren't stupid"; it's a shame that her reading public are being treated as if we were. This collection of children's literature is a part of the Educational Technology Clearinghouse and is funded by various grants.

Kerry's story doesn't read like a thought-out narration with some sort of an overarching theme and at least a resemblance of structure; instead, it reads like a drunken ramble in a pub where you keep losing your train of thought and jumping from one topic to another or a midnight text to a friend with lots of SHOUTY CAPITALS and an exclamation point in every other sentence (sometimes two!!).
