About this deal

AVM currently have 5 separate repeaters but only the FRITZ!Repeater 6000 is WiFI 6 equipped. All the repeaters can work as standard old fashioned repeaters allowing you to use them with any brand. But when you pair them up with a FRITZ!Box they will make use of the mesh functionality allowing you to retain the same SSID around your home with fast roaming features. The complexity of this device and the flexibility of its Fritz!OS Linux-based operating system would align well with users that like to get the most out of their equipment. However, for non-technical customers, it might be a little overwhelming. Performance For those that merely want a solid AC2400 router, there are cheaper options, but they don’t come with all the telephone functionality or the flexibility of the Fritz!Box 7590 AX. This AVM router has a lot of really interesting features, it is very similar to the AVM FRITZ! Box 7530 model that we have thoroughly analyzed in RedesZone, however, it has some fundamental differences that we will explain later. This AVM FRITZ! Box 7530 AX model is an ideal model for your home if you want to have high-performance WiFi 6 connectivity anywhere. Wireless features The only issue we encountered was that some of the processes inevitably lead to updates and reboots of the router. When these reboots occur, the wizard stops working because the phone can connect to another WiFi service.

Can I use the Fritz!Box 7530 AX with fiber optic internet? Yes, the Fritz!Box 7530 AX supports fiber optic internet, and its built-in modem allows for easy setup. Many router makers, Netgear being a prime example, want customers to use a mobile application to configure a router for deployment. The downsides of this approach are that it assumes the installation application is compatible with the phone or tablet of the customer and that the services it links to across the Internet are available. If we want better WiFi, it is clear that we must choose the new 7530 AX model, however, if we want to have a very good WiFi, but high performance in the USB port, then the previous model is better. The AVM FRITZ!Box range has always been one of the best all-in-one solutions for your home networking. I like the features from the router interface enough that I still use my 7590 to handle DHCP even though I no longer need the modem or WiFi functionality. That all this technology is crammed into a box just 256mm wide, 200mm deep, and 60mm high is impressive. Its small enough that it can be placed on any flat surface or wall mounted as required. For a SOHO situation, it's a good one-stop shop that's easy enough to micromanage and expand as the situation dictates – and the app management and comprehensive firmware put those controls at your fingertips. The 7530 AX is a perfect replacement for the EIR F2000/3000, the 7530 AX connects using the VDSL2 17a G.Vector (ITU G.993.5) profile via Eir FTTC service. When this reviewer covered the original 7950 model five years ago, I described its appearance as being a ‘little too Jetsons’, and the 7590 AX has a similar signature styling. Passionate about all things technology, my expertise spans from computers and networking, to mobile, wearables, and smart home devices. It's not bad, by any means, but middling Wi-Fi performance puts all those additional extras (and the 7590's pretty high price) into perspective if you're not going to take full advantage of them. The 7590 AX has expanded vertically over its predecessor and has a more pleasant shape that’s reminiscent of telecoms hardware from the 1990s. Set the connection as “DSL line”, set account information to “NO”, the only requirement is to have “Use VLAN for internet access” enabled using “VLAN-ID 10 / PBit 0”, no need to modify the 1/32 DSL ATM settings.
