If you’re looking for something to merely cover dark circles, save your money with a simpler product.Peach Color Corrector: Camouflages spots and darkness found under the eyes in fair to medium skin tones. For BLUE color corrector specifically, mix a few dabs of color corrector into foundation or concealer and apply as usual.

After your foundation is your concealer. Here is where you will truly cover the spot. Again, as with foundation, blend gently over the color correctors to help get a flawless makeup look. Use color corrector to make your skin look healthy and glowing, but it all depends on your skin concern. If you have dull skin, use a peach or orange color corrector. If you have redness, use a green color corrector. Always apply your color corrector before you apply foundation for a more flawless finish.

For BLUE colour corrector specifically, mix a few dabs of colour corrector into foundation or concealer and apply as usual. You'll also want to decide between light and dark shades. There are tons of products on the market that range in color from soft peach to nearly orange. Keep in mind that lighter peach shades will help to cancel out blue and purple shadows on light and medium complexions, while deeper peach hues and orangey tones will work better on darker skin. Hydrating and lightweight colour correction makeup that layers well underneath foundations and concealers Many correctors have green and purple undertones, which are great for covering up blemishes and redness, but they do little for concealing dark circles (unless they have red undertones). “Green is used to neutralize red, making it great for covering up acne flare-ups, sunburns, and rosacea,” says La Banco. If you’re specifically looking to cover dark circles, you should instead choose color correctors in shades of red, pink, orange, or yellow, as these will help balance out the blue hue of under-eye circles. “Yellow is a super versatile concealer color that brightens sallowness. It cancels out purple tones, like veins or bruises, while still neutralizing mild to moderate redness,” adds La Banco. This color corrector smoothed on fairly easily and a little bit of product goes a long way. The coverage was buildable and layered nicely with concealer and foundation. The wheel allowed for customizable of the final look, especially because under eye circles are rarely just one shade. This product could be good for oily skin tones as it didn't crease or move around, however our dry skinned test would it not quite hydrating enough and it did emphasize some fines around the eyes.

Consider the level of coverage you're looking for in your color corrector. There are some products that offer lightweight coverage that's sheer or transparent, and others that provide full coverage that's opaque. It comes with a few shades of beige and the option of either lavender or green (depending on the palette you get). Though it doesn’t come with an applicator either, this palette glides well and smooths out easily under the eye area. At first glance, our tester admitted that she was worried the formula would be too powdery and hard to work with. To her surprise, however, the texture was creamy, malleable, and hydrating. In fact, it settled “nicely” on her skin, leaving behind a finish free from creases or fine lines. Keep in mind that the formula is buildable, but if you use a lot, it can end up being too pigmented. Our advice: Take it little by little and blend everything out before going in for more. Color correctors — specifically those that are peach or orange in tone — are typically used underneath concealers or foundations to cover dark circles and shadows with blue or purple tones. You'll also want to consider the formula type, the level of coverage, and the shade. Formula
